Apartments Renovation – Hastings Street, Noosa Sunshine Coast

SCOPE OF WORK | Apartments Renovations Noosa: Remove central wall to turn two smaller apartments into one high-end luxury living space.

 

This project required a complete renovation where virtually everything was removed. The site was stripped back to bare bones, work included but not limited to:

 

      • all electrical wiring,
      • plumber sewer lines,
      • hot & cold water feeds,
      • floor tiles,
      • existing walls including load-bearing support walls that supported the upper story apartment were all removed

 

WORK COMPLETED | Apartments Renovations Noosa.

 

LDG Constructions team replaced the support walls with structural steel engineered beams. These beams were incased with two-hour fire-rated .32mmm thick plasterboard sheeting. The units were then totally re-wired with ALEXIS voice command & LED recessed perimeter lighting. This was done to all ceilings & overhead cabinetry & cupboards. All new plumbing & sewer lines were installed. Two layers of soundproof plasterboard were also used on all ceiling areas including green soundproof glue between the sheets.

 

      • All walls, skirting, doorways and ceilings were square flush set plaster finish.
      • Doors were hung using the latest invisible hinges, giving a very sleek look & clean lines as doors now blend totally into the new curved walls.
      • The very latest cabinetry with cooper inserts & curved stone benchtops where used as well as highly versatile porcelain kitchen splashbacks.
      • Matrix walls with black recess lines complement the living space including a wall-mounted TV area.
      • All new Matt black tap wear was fitted into new porcelain vanity basins. The latest TOTO JAPANESE ($ 3,000-00 EACH ) toilet suites installed, complete with user manual & remotes.
      • MIELE kitchen appliances along with black double door fridge (complete with inside camera) installed.
      • ZIP Tap & coffee machine to complete this amazing space.

 

 

ABOUT THIS PROJECT | Apartments Renovations Noosa:

 

This job was extremely difficult due to very limited access to site, no parking or truck access. This apartment was located on the second level. This meant all materials had to be lifted onto the 2nd level balcony. This was the only way to gain entry to the unit.

 

Also being part of a holiday complex, we had noise restrictions in place along with late starting times, early finish times & an additional no work ban during school holiday periods, the result is that the total renovation took place over a six month period from start to finish.

 

Despite the difficulties encountered the finished result exceeded the clients’ expectations on all levels including the quality of the finished apartment the way work was carried out and the whole project management by LDG Constructions incorporating sub-trades, apartment managers & holiday guests.

 

The fixtures & fittings were extremely high end and required expert knowledge and highly skilled workmanship to install a lot of the appliances & tech devices used in this project. Wireless voice commands, invisible wireless phone charging stations, multi-coloured LED lighting all finish off by amazing curved cabinetry.

This project albeit challenging gave all involved a great sense of pride & deep satisfaction in the finished job, it was about as difficult as a project can get! We learned a great deal from this high-end renovation & we were rewarded by the owners’ praise and admiration on completion along with the private certifier comments on final inspection, he scored us 10/10 for a truly amazing job well done.
